Students,
You have made it to my blog! Congratulations! You are on the right track. This is great tool to publish your thoughts about life, our readings and whatever else you have on your mind. Some published writers today start with blogging then move on to publishing their works. So one of you may be famous one day!
I do have to set some ground rules, however, but not too many.
1. No profanity, please. You may bleep (@#$%) yourself if you want but try to avoid this.
2. Blog at least 7-8 sentences. Please be concise and to the point. You may elaborate on these blogs if your thoughts allow it but try not to ramble. When you are required to respond to each other's blogs, be specific about what you agree with or disagree with. In other words, don't say: "Good point!" or "I agree with you." Elaborate on why you think that way.
3. I will allow some slang. You can use text speak. Please indicate some abbreviations to me because I don't type in text-speak. I may learn something from you.
4. Have a great time!
My introduction:
I am a Filipino American and was mainly raised in the US. I like to read, write, learn and teach. I love my career field and love LSC-Cy-Fair. I graduated from Baylor University and attended University of Houston for my graduate degree. My favorite book of all time is: To Kill a Mockingbird--I fell in love with it when I read it for the first time in tenth grade. I am currently reading: The Shack, which is so thought-provoking and eye-opening. The author really portrays characters "outside the box." A critical thinking concept I hope you will attain after taking my class.
This is me in a nutshell. Now it's your turn! After reading this blog, make yourself a follwer by clicking the "Join this Site" icon on my blog--so I can follow you and you can follow your group members responses as well.
